Dilip Khatekar, the founder and director of Step Up Academy, established the coaching institute after transitioning from a career as a government officer. २०१५ मध्ये MPSC परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण झालेले आणि पूर्वी सरकारी अधिकारी असलेले दिलीप खातेकर यांनी स्पर्धा परीक्षांची तयारी करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना मार्गदर्शन करण्यासाठी स्टेप अप अकॅडमीची स्थापना केली. अकॅडमीची पुण्यात जून २०२१ पासून उपस्थिती असली तरी, त्यांची कल्याण शाखा ऑक्टोबर २०२३ मध्ये सुरू झाली. या विस्तारामुळे स्टेप अप अकॅडमीला MPSC, UPSC, बँकिंग, SSC आणि रेल्वे (RRB) यांसारख्या परीक्षांसाठी विशेष मार्गदर्शन कल्याण परिसरातील विद्यार्थ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचवणे शक्य झाले. हे सर्व अकॅडमीच्या संस्थापकांच्या समर्पण आणि सर्वसमावेशक मार्गदर्शनाच्या तत्त्वज्ञानानुसारच सुरू आहे.

While the academy has a presence in Pune since June - 2021, its Kalyan branch was established in Oct - 2023. This expansion allowed Step Up Academy to extend its specialized coaching for exams like MPSC, UPSC, Banking, SSC, and Railways (RRB) to students in the Kalyan region, maintaining the founder's philosophy of dedication and comprehensive guidance.
